Senior Analyst/Assistant Compliance Manager (AML) Sydney CBD Mars Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading financial institution to find an experienced AML/CTF Analyst for their Sydney CBD office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic Transaction Analysis and Reporting Team within the Legal & Compliance department.
Please note that this role is initially offered as a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
About the Role In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the organisation's compliance with AML/CTF regulations by conducting investigations, analysing transaction alerts, and preparing high-quality reports.
Your contributions will support the organisation's commitment to robust risk management and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities : Conduct investigations on potential suspicious transaction alerts and prepare detailed reports.
Meet daily KPIs for transaction alert analysis and disposition.
Complete Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) as required.
Support further reviews and investigations of transaction monitoring cases.
Maintain accurate records and update registers related to investigations.
Assist with AML-related tasks, including system testing, training preparation, and general administration.
Essential Criteria: A bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector.
Previous experience in AML transaction monitoring or analysis.
A solid understanding of AML regulations and banking products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
