Member Engagement Officer

The Member Engagement Officer plays a crucial role in fostering strong relationships between the organisation and its members.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance member experience, increase engagement, and drive membership growth.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for community building, and a proactive approach to member relations.

Member Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for members, addressing inquiries and providing support to enhance their experience.
Engagement Strategies Develop a member engagement strategy and execute initiatives to engage members through events, webinars, newsletters, and social media.
Feedback Collection Gather and analyse member feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement in benefits and engagement.
Member Acquisition and Retention Implement initiatives to attract new members and retain existing ones.
Oversee membership applications, renewals, and enquiries.
Develop and implement efficient processes for membership administration.
Member Offerings and Benefits Review and enhance member benefits to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our members.
Identify opportunities to add value to membership offerings and improve member satisfaction.
Data Management Manage membership database, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of member information.
Maintain accurate member records and track engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
Collaboration Work closely with internal teams, such as the executive team, sector development, policy and advocacy, and marketing and communications in all engagement efforts.
Reporting Prepare regular reports on member engagement activities, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Input into board and annual reports.
Community Building Foster a sense of community among members by facilitating networking opportunities and encouraging participation in events.
Organisational Participation Attend and participate in staff meetings and events online and in-person as required.
Industry Experience Current or previous employment experience in a similar role.
Experience in the domestic and family violence services sector or allied sector.
Required Experience and Skills Experience in strategy development and implementation.
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent skills in building and managing stakeholder relationships.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
A flexible team-oriented approach, being prepared to adapt in response to changing priorities and demands.
Ability to maintain productivity and motivation in a hybrid working environment and ability to attend in-person meetings from time to time.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Passion for community engagement and a strong understanding of member needs.
Commitment to DVNSW's values.
A sense of humour.
Experience working in peak body or representative organisation.
Additional Information Thought Leader in Domestic Violence prevention.
Part-Time role - 30 Hours per Week.
Schads Level 5.2-6.2 depending on experience.
