Exciting opportunity to develop people and improve operational efficienciesTake pride in delivering strategic insights and information driven innovationPermanent full-time opportunity based in Collingwood, MelbourneThe Opportunity The Manager Planning Insights role is accountable for driving data and information driven decision making and innovation for Jetstar Operations as it applies to pilot and cabin crew resources.
The role leads a team that is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining a sufficient level of operational resilience and crew engagement.
This role involves working with cross-functional teams to understand challenges and to derive meaningful insights into resourcing trends and to translate findings into effective solutions.
In addition, the role is also accountable for supporting the end-to-end resource planning process including systems, tools and methodology.
The core responsibilities of this role will be: Lead the resource planning and deployment support function.Provide oversight of Jeppesen optimisation settings to ensure that there is an appropriate balance between the need to be efficient while maintaining a sufficient level of operational resilience and crew engagement.Oversee the administration of Flight and Cabin Crew leave draws and roster preferencing including the support of relevant systems and processes.Maximise the use of workforce planning tools, systems, and methodology and support the change process.Oversee the development and use of crew resource models to track and forecast future labour requirements including training and recruitment pipelines.Maintain alignment between crew resource and forecast models and labour budgeting.Build effective and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop a deep understanding of challenges and improvement opportunities.Ensure key stakeholders are informed and updated on all relevant crew resource related topics.Present insights and recommendations in a compelling and accessible manner that tailors to diverse audiences.Lead the Insights team to ensure delivery of departmental and organisational objectives.
Carry out performance management cycle commitments within the People Guidelines.
Role model business principles and values and drive high performance engagement through effective coaching, mentoring and employee development.To be considered, key skills will include: Demonstrated people management and leadership skills including coaching, mentoring and development of direct reports.Demonstrated experience in leading the design and development of business intelligence reporting solutions.Previous experience working with PowerBI and Tableau dashboards.Proven ability to work with large data sets and to apply data handling and analysis best practice.Highly developed conceptual, analytical, business acumen and strategic planning skills.Results focussed and team oriented.
Ability to self-manage to achieve high levels of accuracy, productivity, and efficiency.Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure with competing priorities.Experience developing, fostering, and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.Strong negotiation, communication, problem solving and influencing skills.Business or Aviation Degree or equivalent industry experience.Experience with in Airline Operations desirable but not essential.Applications close: Monday 7th October, 2024 About Jetstar The Jetstar Group has airlines in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan.
