In 2017, JD Sports first established itself within the Australian market and has since expanded to 60+ stores in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA & TAS with many more to comeThe RoleThe Senior Visual Merchandiser works collaboratively with the wider VM and Management team and is responsible for leading all in store visuals whilst implementing creative solutions to support the overall sales of the store. The Senior Visual Merchandiser will mentor and train the store team to continuously uphold Visual Merchandise standards and will support the Store Manager in maintaining an elevated level of store presentation in-line with Company Standards.You will also be responsible for developing and driving the creativity strategy for the store, aligning it to the brands commercial objectives. You will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:Training and developing a junior VM team member underneath you on all creative and store standardsPlanning and executing in-store creative concepts including windows and mannequins to drive the brand vision and deliver a world class shopping experienceInitiating and implementing innovative VM & creative solutions to support store functionsOrganising and executing the set up for all promotional events/ installations for the brand and the storeEducating the team around maintaining visual merchandising standardsCommunicating brand and product knowledge to the Department Managers and store-based teamCompleting daily walkthroughs with your Store Manager to ensure visual priorities are presented to the JD standard and will attract, engage, and motivate customers to purchaseSupporting Store Manager to plan and manage multiple key priorities in your store from campaign launches, visual merchandising, stock management and in-store marketingInspiring, training and supporting the store-based team to drive a world class experience for the JD customersEngaging in housekeeping tasks to upkeep store presentation standardsWhat we're looking for2-3 years' experience in a similar role within a high turnover, large format fashion retailerTertiary Qualifications in Visual Merchandising (Cert IV / Diploma) is favourableYou love fashion and have a strong knowledge of our brandsPassionate about creating a great customer shopping experienceYou have excellent time management skills and ensure that daily priorities are executed in a timely mannerYou are confident at communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the businessYou can adapt to continuously changing processes and procedures, due to JD Sports business rapid growthWhat's in it for you?Attractive salary and the elusive retail roster of Monday to FridayGenerous staff discount which can be shared with friends and familyMultiple internal training programs/mentorship to support your growth, such as our JD Academy program or 1:1 personalised trainingAccess to our free Employee Assistance ProgramOpportunities to be a part of world class store openings across AUS/NZMultiple pathways for you career including Visual Merchandising, Operations & Training etcWork anniversary giftsWe are passionate about connecting with skilled and dynamic individuals who are invested in their development, so that together we can evolve our brand's success, alongside evolving your career.
