About the client: Our client, a leading Financial Services provider in Australia, are looking for a Snr Automation Tester to join their team in Melbourne.
It's fixed term contract & permanent both opportunity.
Position Title: Senior Automation Tester Location: Melbourne CBD Reports To: QA Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Automation Tester to join our dynamic QA team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, particularly in Java and Selenium, with a focus on the payment, mortgage and lending domain.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality and a commitment to delivering robust, high-performing software solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Automation Test Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium for web and mobile applications within the payment and lending sectors.
Test Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement effective test strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
Test Case Design: Analyze requirements and user stories to create detailed, reusable, and maintainable test cases.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing and provide recommendations for optimization and enhancements.
Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, promoting best practices in automation testing and quality assurance.
Domain Expertise: Stay current with industry trends, particularly in payment and lending systems, and apply knowledge to enhance testing strategies.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation testing.
Proven experience in Java and Selenium for test automation.
Strong knowledge of payment and lending systems, including familiarity with APIs and payment gateways.
Skills: Proficient in test automation frameworks and tools.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
