We are currently seeking a new Mechanic and if you have these skills, this might be your chance to rewrite the future with us.Work in a collaborative teamPermanent full-time roleBalance your life with a 9-day fortnightLight Mechanics encouraged to applyAbout the roleThe role of Mechanic (Heavy) is responsible for repairing, servicing, and maintaining the Central Coast Council's Plant & Fleet Unit.To be successful in this role, you will have:Certificate III qualification in Heavy Commercial Mechanical Technology or related field, combined with ongoing professional development;Current NSW Fair Trading Tradesperson Certificate or willingness to obtain;RMS Vehicle Examiners Certificate – Heavy Vehicle or willingness to obtain;Current Construction General Induction Card;Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain;Current Class MR License or willingness to obtain within specified period.The salary range for this position is between $63.6k - $76.3k plus 11.5% superannuation + Level 1 Adverse working conditions allowance of $18.92 per week.This role is located at the Charmhaven Depot.Successful candidates may be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus.Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.At Central Coast Council, we provide team members with a range of extras that help them balance their life when they need it:Long service leave after 5 years of continuous serviceTime provided for you to do annual skin cancer screening, Breast screen, and blood donationsAccess to professional development with career development and learning programs through various platformsWe reward and recognise our staff with our Cheers programNovated leasing partnerships.Central Coast Council is committed to the goals of equal opportunity employment.
