Casual Remote Area Nurses (RANs) – Acute, Chronic, Child HealthMala'la Health Service is seeking experienced Remote Area Nurses to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in Maningrida, NT.
As a Remote Area Nurse (RAN), you will provide high quality, evidence-based care; education for assigned health programs (e.g.
Chronic Disease, Child Health, RHD); and participate in routine service delivery of vaccinations to the community through our community outreaches.
All successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits, including: At least 6 weeks placement in the communityCompetitive casual hourly rate of $77.68 — $86.57Short or long-term locum placementsFlights providedFully subsidised accommodation providedOpportunity for on-call and overtime paymentsAbility to salary package up to $15,900 per annum, plus a further $2,650 per annum on Meals and Entertainment11% SuperannuationClinical support, practice development and constructive feedback provided during placementsAccess to onsite educationFlexibility for options of ongoing return contractsAbility to plan your year ahead by negotiating dates that work for youWork with a committed and passionate teamDirect casual employment with Mala'la reduces the cost of employing individuals through Agencies, so the funds can be redirected back to the staff, health service and the community of Maningrida.

About Mala'la Mala'la Health Service is a respected & accredited Aboriginal Corporation providing services to the seaside community of Maningrida (520 km east of Darwin), with a population of approximately 3,000 people.
These services include Primary Health Care, Aged & Community Care, Family & Community Wellness, Drugs & Alcohol Services.
Mala'la Health Service provides Primary Health Care services to Maningrida and surrounding homelands under a Community Control model.
The role will see you working in a remote Aboriginal Community.
All applicants must have an understanding of, and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Aboriginal people living in remote settings.

Current AHPRA Registration and Practicing Certificate as a Registered NurseCurrent Remote Emergency Care Course certificate and/or Advanced Life Support certificateCurrent accredited Immunisation certificate (recognised in the NT)Remote Pharmacotherapeutic Certificate (or equivalent)Manual Driver's LicenseMin 5 years broad nursing experience post registration and 3 years working in a primary health-related field in a remote context, with advanced clinical skills and competencies applicable to remote settings (including the ability to triage, work independently and participate in emergency calls and First Response)Mala'la Health Service is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and clients of our Health Care Centre.
In accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Guidelines, National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards, and other local policies, guidelines and procedures; we mandate that all staff abide by our Worker Immunisation Against Specific VPD Policy, which will be supplied to all successful candidates.
