Senior Associate, Treasury Control

We currently have a 12-month Fixed-term full time opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Treasury Control Team.
You will be responsible for providing financial control, accounting support and financial analysis for the Treasury function of the NAB.
Specifically, this role supports the Treasury business that manages the Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Booking (IRRBB).
12-month Fixed-term Full time Opportunity Showcase your strong financial control and accounting disciplines Be supported to learn and grow whilst developing the career you want In this Senior Associate role, you will: Complete production of the daily Profit & Loss (P&L), monthly reporting and balance sheet substantiation. Lead comprehensive P&L analysis and validation including interest accruals, transfer pricing, realised and unrealised P&L components, hedge accounting outcomes, direct and indirect expenses, intercompany balances, consolidation and eliminations and balance sheet control verification work. Complete regulatory and external reporting. Keep the Manager Treasury Control informed of any material issues and discussing resolution and improvement. Discuss with Front Office regarding P&L analysis and resolution of issues. What you'll bring: Strong financial control and accounting disciplines along with key technical knowledge including derivative valuations, P&L decomposition and trading risk metrics. Experience in a Product Control Function or Treasury and/or Markets function, ideally in a major bank is advantageous but not essential. Numeracy and analytical skill for numeric analysis and evaluating outcomes to identify key issues, trends and themes from large volumes of complex information. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise instructions for procedures and descriptions of situations, cases or issues. A self-starting and inquisitive mind, able to self-manage according to timelines, priorities and outcomes.
