Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project.
We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.

Purpose of the Role:
To plan, organise, lead and control site operations for compliance with the construction programme ensuring consistency in terms of, and in order to ensure safety, cost, time, quality, environmental, community targets are achieved in order to safely deliver underground tunnelling works on the Snowy 2.0 project.

Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, or trade qualified White Card Experience:
Extensive TBM experience to join our project.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role Supervising Tunnelling Construction activities and crew Exposure to Drill and Blast, Road Header or TBM excavation techniques Expertise working with underground excavation, ideally tunnel construction, plant technicians and support crews Demonstrated experience in delivering health, safety, quality, and environmental Experienced in the coordination of a team of underground workers and working closely with Tunnel Engineers.
In depth knowledge of TBM, conveyors and associated tunnel related equipment Ability to manage the supervision of all mechanical works, produce method statements and work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standards Experience on major infrastructure construction operations of similar scale with a proven ability to operate in a dynamic "live" environment and to meet significant program hurdles.
Ability to produce daily reports as required Ability to work closely with Safety Department to maintain project safety standards Ability to work collaboratively Ability to work to deadlines and targets and prioritise tasks under pressure Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills Strong Initiative and proactive nature Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Well-developed time management skills Strong planning and organising skills High attention to detail Competent and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word.
Ability to learn and use different software systems such as E7 Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Responsible for assembly, commissioning and completing preventative maintenance during production across the site Managing the daily mechanical running, operation and maintenance of the TBM and associated mechanical equipment Organising and planning work for future mechanical operations.
Managing plan maintenance for all mechanical equipment on site Developing specifications for production and determining materials, equipment, material flows and layout of plant and systems Liaising with Mechanical Manager for all TBM, conveyor, gantry crane and associated equipment assembly/ installation/dismantling, commissioning and testing works Carry out daily plant inspections, complete and submit maintenance/ breakdown reports Liaising with TBM Electrical team for planning of ongoing and future works Supervise and provide support to Mechanics on shift, for trouble shooting and preventative maintenance Ensuring Method Statements and Risk assessments are in place for ongoing and future mechanical works Inspecting and auditing the plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained in accordance with Australian Standards Working alongside Engineering team to prepare design proposals Delivering weekly and monthly reporting, schedules and rosters Ensuring consistent, adequate supply of equipment and materials Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service The above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.
