Commercially focused Category Manager opportunity for a leading Australian Manufacturer | Friendly & warm culture | 10mins from CBD | $150,000 + SuperAbout the CompanyJoin a leading Australian manufacturer and wholesaler of a large range of high-volume engineered products sold into industries as diverse as Construction, Retail Hardware, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas.As the largest company in its field, it has the resources of a public company with the flexibility of a private one.
This significant enterprise operates 10 distribution centres across Australia, New Zealand and Asia as well as two purpose-built manufacturing plants in Asia.The company prides itself in having the highest staff retention rate in our industry.
The position would be suitable for a candidate seeking an exciting career in a dynamic friendly organisation where you will be rewarded in accord with your contribution.About the RoleOversee a large and diverse product portfolio where you will leverage market insights, customer trends, and product performance to optimise product offerings, enhance profitability, and improve customer satisfactionSupport new product development projects from concept to launch through collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and salesDevelop, execute, and maintain a comprehensive category strategy capable of delivering best value, quality, delivery and cost.Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders – internally to ensure alignment in strategies and execution of annual priorities and longer-term growth initiatives; as well as externally, as part of negotiations with suppliersProvide input into the business budgeting processes.International travel (2 or 3 times per annum) is required.Skills and Experience:10+ years of experience in a high-quality category management or product / supply environment ideally in hardware, construction, engineering, FMCG or a similar industryDegree qualifications in business, commerce or similar requiredAnalytical mindset and data-driven, strong Microsoft Excel capabilityDiverse skill set with proven stakeholder and project management experience to coordinate complex projects across all levels of the organisation.How to ApplyClick APPLY or contact John Corrigan on #J-18808-Ljbffr
