Business Development Manager – Earthmoving Attachments The company is a leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of buckets and other specialised attachments for excavators, loaders, skid-steers, and tractors.

The Position Overview
The position's objective is simple: to develop and drive sales in unreached and under-serviced market segments.
The National BDM will lead the company's business development initiatives throughout Australia, concentrating on equipment dealers, hire companies, and others within the quarry and agriculture sectors.
The successful candidate will utilise their broad industry network to discover and nurture new business prospects while also strengthening and growing current partnerships.
This position requires a strong commitment to driving sales and pursuing growth opportunities, including:
Engaging directly with clients in the construction and heavy equipment sectors to develop and deliver tailored solutions for their excavator bucket and attachment needs.
Identifying emerging market trends, ongoing construction projects, and sales opportunities that drive growth and profitability in the excavator attachment market.
Leading the preparation and submission of competitive tender proposals, ensuring they align with client requirements and specifications for excavator buckets and attachments.
Collaborating closely with local dealers to enhance their sales capabilities, supporting their business development efforts in promoting excavator attachments and buckets.
Providing strategic guidance and training to dealers, fostering long-term partnerships that create mutual value in the sale of excavator attachments.
Managing the transition of new clients to the aftersales team, ensuring a seamless customer experience and satisfaction with their excavator bucket and attachment purchases.
Representing the company and its brand with professionalism and integrity at industry events, customer meetings, and while selling nationally to dealerships, quarries, and hire companies.
Candidate Requirements
Proven track record of success in business development and sales within the earthmoving, civil construction, mining, or related sectors, with strong ties to key stakeholders.
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organisational levels.
Relationships and industry knowledge enabling sales penetration into target markets.
Demonstrated experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, with a focus on high-value projects and tenders.
Strong strategic thinking skills, with experience in budgeting, sales forecasting, and developing business strategies.
Ability to travel as required to engage with clients and business partners.
Valid driver's license and either Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
