As a Disability Employment Coach, you'll help our clients secure meaningful employment, support them in their new roles, and coach them along their journey.If you have exceptional customer service skills, resilience, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from youWhat You'll Do:As a Disability Employment Coach, you'll be the driving force behind our clients' employment journeys.
Your day-to-day will involve:Goal Setting & Action Planning: Helping participants set achievable goals and map out the steps to reach them.Employment Preparation: Offering hard and soft skills training, confidence building, and job readiness coaching.Job Skills Analysis: Assessing employment skills and providing counselling and guidance.On-the-Job Coaching: Supporting participants through volunteering, work experience, or paid employment—both in small groups and individually.Post-Placement Support: Offering ongoing support to both participants and employers to ensure long-term success.Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is dedicated to fostering inclusion for people with disabilities within the community.
You're someone who can balance the demands of coaching and mentoring with the necessary administration and compliance tasks.NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtainNDIS Worker Orientation Module completion or willing to obtainWorking with Children Check or willing to obtainFirst Aid Certificate or willing to obtainAbility to transport participants in your own vehicle (current license, car, and comprehensive insurance required)Understanding and experience in delivering person-centred supportCert 3 or 4 in disability, community services, or similarExperience working within the NDIS environmentFor YouHere at genU, we're a group of passionate, driven people who want everyone's lives to be happier and healthier, especially people with disabilities, the ageing, and those experiencing disadvantage.
