Recruitment Coordinator at Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of QueenslandWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Coordinator to join the RNA Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic events-based environment.Reporting to the Event Services Manager, the Floor Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination of individual exhibitions/events held in Royal International Convention Centre and on the Brisbane Showgrounds. A large part of this role involves liaising with clients, suppliers, and other RNA departments while also providing administration assistance as required within the Event Services Team.This is a Fixed Term - Full Time position till 5 January 2025 starting ASAP.About us:The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) owns and operates the historic Brisbane Showgrounds precinct, home to the iconic Royal Queensland Show and more than 300 events a year. The 22-hectare precinct, just 1.5kms from the CBD attracts a million visitors a year and is the state's largest indoor/outdoor events space featuring the vibrant King Street dining precinct and the five-star Royal International Convention Centre.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the coordination of all assigned exhibitions and entertainment events to appropriate operations personnel, based on timeframes and workloads.Responsible for coordination of venue logistics for all exhibitions and entertainment events.Liaise with Event Services Setup Crew regarding all set up arrangements required by the event.Liaise with Technical Service regarding floor plan preparation, technical equipment such as Audio Visual and Staging, ensuring that all plans accurately reflect the client requirements.Liaise with Security Manager for security and logistics for all exhibition and entertainment events.Answer general exhibition/entertainment events inquiries from prospective clients.Ensure operational staff are fully briefed on all exhibition/entertainment event details and specific client requirements to ensure smooth operation and client satisfaction. Report client feedback from exhibition/entertainment event to operational staff and assist in providing solutions/answers for any areas of concern.Assist in the preparation of post event reports for each exhibition.Carry out the position's roles and responsibilities in relation to the implementation of the RNA's OH&S policies and procedures and comply with any reasonable instructions regarding occupational health and safety at work, including reporting and assisting in identification of hazards, assessment and control of risks, accident investigations and/or workplace inspections.Carry out all reasonable operational and administrative requests and tasks set.To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience as a Floor Coordinator or similar role.Tertiary qualifications in business, tourism, hospitality or event management are desirable although not essential.Strong organisational and time management skills.Superior attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of people and different audiences.Initiative, a proactive approach, and the ability to pre-empt client's requirements demonstrating your commitment to customer service excellence.What we offer:The RNA is a traditional organisation with a progressive mindset towards employee benefits.
