6 month position working full-time hours (potential to become permanent based on business needs) Availability required to work across a rotating roster Mon - Fri between the hours of 5:45am - 7:00pm Forklift licence required for this position As an employee access our 'Post Perks' various retailer and services discounts Help us deliver like never before As our Van Driver based in Pinkenba QLD , you'll be operating and delivering in our vans as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day.
You might not be working from home, but you'll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others and being a team player and it doesn't get better than that
You'll be: Required to safely perform and operate a van to perform duties such as picking up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Post Offices and Delivery Centres Required to pick up mail and parcel items from our customers Unload mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels including express posts Completing your own daily vehicle safety check Paired up with our experienced senior drivers, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development About you You hold a full or probationary QLD driver's licence and have a good driving history You have a forklift ticket with at least 3-6 months experience You have experience driving a van or similar sized large vehicle (automatic) You'll successfully pass our mandatory and practical driving assessment You are flexible with working additional hours if required You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less How we'll deliver for you Pay rate for this job is $30.28 per hour plus 12% superannuation - additional penalties of 15% will apply to some shifts We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued and can bring their authentic self to work every day We invest in your personal well-being, recognise and reward you for your contribution to our successful with Post Perks and more We're delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional?Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
