Manager, Clearing Operations Location: Sydney CBD - Hybrid Work Model About the Role Are you a skilled leader with a passion for financial markets and operational excellence?
My client is seeking a Manager as part of the Clearing Operations function to oversee a dynamic, customer-focused team within a leading Australian financial services organisation.
In this role, you will manage the operational clearing environment, supporting both exchange-traded and OTC derivatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
As the Manager, you'll advocate top-tier service for clients globally while ensuring strong regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily clearing operations, managing post-trade functions with a keen eye on risk management and regulatory compliance.
Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company values.
Provide first-line support for critical clearing systems and tools, including Genium, DCS, and Calypso.
Engage with a range of stakeholders, from brokers and custodians to exchange participants and regulatory bodies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operations, reduce risk, and deliver exceptional service experiences.
About You Proven management experience in a high-pressure, operational environment.
In-depth knowledge of Australian financial markets and experience with ETD/OTC back-office operations (5+ years preferred).
Expertise in post-trade processes and familiarity with relevant systems and business practices.
Exposure to back office operations in capital markets, bank treasury, custodian or a broking firm.
Strong customer service orientation with experience leading a client-facing team.
Experience in report writing for senior management, project implementation, and back-office operations in capital markets or banking environments.
