Position Overview:
As the Finance Director at Proa Energy, you will oversee all financial operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial decision-making. You will also play a key role in supporting the CEO with capital raise efforts, managing invoicing and payment claims, overseeing procurement, insurance, commercial contracts, and bank guarantees. This hybrid role requires at least 3 days per week on-site at Proa's offices.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the company's financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.Oversee procurement processes, cost-effective purchasing, and management of inventory to enhance financial efficiency.Manage invoicing, payment claims, payroll, and employee onboarding processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Manage the company's insurance coverage, ensuring adequate protection and compliance with legal requirements.Oversee commercial arrangements for new contracts, ensuring favorable financial terms, and manage associated bank guarantees.Support the CEO in capital raise efforts and grant submissions, including preparing financial documentation and forecasts.Maintain and manage Proa's patent portfolio, ensuring proper tracking, documentation, and legal compliance.To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification is a bonus).At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a strong background in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.Strong experience with financial software systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, accounting platforms).Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.What We Offer: Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.A dynamic and collaborative work environment.Parental leave and paid time off benefits for full-time permanent employees.Diversity and Inclusion:
