The OpportunityElectricians are accountable for delivering electrical work on time, in full and to the required standard while striving for continuous improvement. The Electrician is responsible for keeping themselves and their workmates safe, as well as maintaining a clean, tidy and productive work environment.What's involvedUnderstanding and accepting the task.Ownership and respect for tools and equipment.Carrying out and completing the task in full.Improving the task (initiate improvement).During periods of reduced trade specific works, assist in other trade-based sectors of the business as reasonably directed.Completing works within the required time frames and, if unachievable, informing Supervisor immediately.Understanding, accepting, and delivering the quality standards.Comply with the HSEQ standards.Holding self and others accountable to the HSEQ standards.Promoting a 'safety first' culture by assessing the risks.Improving HSEQ performance.Reduce waste in all its forms.You'll needHolds valid 'A' Grade Electrical License with Mechanic Endorsement (or fitter where permitted).High Risk Works – confined space / working at heights.Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner.Demonstrate adequate theoretical knowledge.Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade.Possess good time management skills and ability to meet set targets.HR Licenses – Forklift / Confined Space.First Aid / EWP.Previous experience in Defence / Government.Previous experience in Marine / Ship repair or Heavy Industry.Why AustalCompetitive compensation and benefits package.Professional development and training opportunities.A supportive and dynamic work environment.Opportunities for career advancement within our growing organisation.At Austal we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment for all.
