With new mines, new equipment and a new energy across our business, there's never been a better time to join Westgold.About the opportunityDue to an increased workflow across the Northern and Southern operations, Westgold's Diamond Drill department are on the lookout for experienced Raisebore Drillers to work on a permanent 2:2 roster. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating vertical or inclined shafts in underground mining for ventilation, access, or ore extraction purposes. This role is essential for developing underground infrastructure safely and efficiently.The role includesOperate drill rig as per Westgold's procedure requirements, ensuring that operations are always safeComplete daily shift reports and submit to immediate Supervisor before end of each shiftPerform preventative maintenance on drill rigs and equipmentPerform breakdown repairs to drill rig components, reporting any damage as requiredConduct routine cleaning of the drill rig equipment and vehiclesAttend required training to successfully complete required dutiesPerform workplace inspections diligently and at every required timeframeWhat do I need?Previous Raisebore operation experience (Robbins, Epiroc and Terratec Raisebore rigs experience advantageous)Comprehensive understanding of basic drilling practices, equipment, and technologiesCert III Drilling OperationsDemonstrated ability to drive safetyDedicated commitment to safetyAbility to pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol screenNational Police Clearance valid within last 12 monthsThe Westgold Offer:A permanent full-time position at a successful gold producerPerformance based bonusSite Allowance (if applicable)Group salary continuous insuranceA health and wellness allowanceA range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy, and adoption.5 years' pro rata long service leaveSalary sacrifice optionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) that includes free confidential counselling and wellbeing services that includes financial advice.Our full list of benefits and why we are recognised as an Endorsed Employer for Women by Work 180 can be seen on the Work180 website.We appreciate that not everybody will tick every box for their next dream role but if you believe that you can bring the passion and drive to contribute to our operations, we encourage you to apply.Westgold is driven by our core values of Show Respect, Choose Safety and Deliver Value.
