Job Description - Project Manager - Transmission Line (261768)
UGL's utilities business undertakes essential design & construction services for critical infrastructure in the power and water sectors.
Our end-to-end delivery ranges from transmission lines, switchyards, substations, electrical distribution through to water and wastewater treatment plants and water pipelines.
Our expertise includes the design, construct, commission, operate and maintain where our Utilities Team safely leads and delivers design & construct projects across Australia.
Our project delivery extends to include short and long-term contracts either through self-performance works, working with Sub-contractors or through Joint Ventures.
Our work spans from the engineering design through to structural, civil, electrical installation works and commissioning.
The Opportunity UGL Utilities team are currently looking for a Project Manager for a substation and high voltage transmission line project in WA.
What will a day in this role look like: Planning, executing and finalising projects for delivery to our clients.Managing the project teams to accurately and timely deliver projects according to schedule, budget and scope.Overseeing the quality control throughout the project life cycle and ensuring we meet the project's objectives and deliverables.Focusing on acquiring resources and coordinating efforts of team members, ensuring that our clients' needs are delivered in a safe, timely and efficient manner whilst ensuring a safe and effective operation of the project through sound communication, promotion of Safety and Quality Assurance, technical assistance and sound business practices such as commercial, compliance, procurement, human resources and financials.What are we looking for you to bring to the team: You will have extensive Project Management experience working within the utilities infrastructure sectors focusing on power with a focus on High-Voltage Transmission Line projects.You will hold relevant project management accreditation equivalent to Australian Institute Project Management (AIPM), PMBOK, Diploma, PMP or equivalent.You will have a strong understanding and knowledge of construction principles in a multi-discipline contracting environment.You will have a high level of business and commercial acumen backed by a sound ability to create, read, and interpret budgets, financial statements and analyse variance reports.What makes you right for UGL: Ability to provide a safe, supportive, and positive workplace.Empower a united and collaborative culture.Deliver technical excellence and create efficient, innovative solutions.Build an enviable reputation and the trust of employees, clients, and other stakeholders.Genuine concern for safety and the environment.About Us UGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
