About the role Permanent full time opportunity to provide high standard of sterilising and organise the Central Sterilising and Storage Department (CSSD) including dental assisting staff and material resources, in collaboration with the Principal Dental Assistant and other senior staff.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Provide supervision, leadership, direction and support to your team of dental assistants to ensure the efficient operational running of the Oral Health central sterilising department.
Maintain responsibility for Infection Control in the sterilising environment.
Assist in the management and operations of the facility/area through effective planning, organisation, monitoring and evaluation of the activities of dental assistants.
Active participation in the recruitment and selection processes; manage the performance appraisal & staff development programs for dental assistants.
Undertake other work-related duties within the expected range of responsibility and competence for the position, as directed by senior staff.
