We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Wellness Program Coordinator to join our team
Reporting to the Business Manager of our Health and Wellness Team, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and growing the health and wellness programs in Southwest Sydney.
You will understand the importance of respect, trust and empathy and have the skills to communicate effectively and motivate our clients to live a healthy and active lifestyle, assisting them to live their best life.
Your days will include: Be the face and 'advocate' of the Health and Wellness programsIdentifying needs and opportunities for Stepping On HubsPromote, administer and co-ordinate a range of health, wellness and social programs for older people living in the communityCreate and maintain a welcoming vibrant environment, actively engaging members of the local community to participate in programs to improve their health and wellbeingOngoing coordination and management of the program calendars of eventsCoordination of staff and volunteers to facilitate the weekly programsOnboarding and administration of clients into requested programs and ongoing management of client recordsLocal area promotion and networking to increase membership numbersThe successful candidate will have: Qualifications in Allied Health, Health Promotion, Leisure and Lifestyle, or similar desirable but not requiredDemonstrated understanding and commitment to improving the health, wellbeing and quality of life of older people living in the communityEnthusiasm for working with older people, their families, carers and advocates to help identify and manage goals and plans to improve their health and wellbeingDemonstrated ability to promote and coordinate programs, set timetables and develop program calendarsProficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Client records system (e.g.
