An exciting permanent and full-time opportunity has arisen for a talented Clinical Audit and Governance Coordinator to join our Bupa Dental Care (BDC) teamReporting to the Clinical Governance Manager, you will support the Clinical Governance functions of BDC to ensure safe and quality delivery of care to BDC's customers. Through active support of BDC practice employees and independent contractors, the Clinical Audit and Governance Coordinator will be a key conduit for practices to contribute to continuous service improvement, striving to meet accreditation standards and achieve organisational goals.What will your day look like?Facilitate the clinical audit program across BDC and develop relevant organisation-wide actions to improve ongoing compliance.Assist in the development of risk assessments and contribute to the ongoing review of BDC's clinical risks.Investigate and manage incidents and complaints in collaboration with the Head Dentist.Manage the Clinical email Inbox and provide contemporary, evidence-based advice in response to queries.Assist in the development, promotion and recording of continuous quality improvement initiatives within the clinical team and the broader service delivery team.Assist in the reporting of, and clinician understanding of, the ACHS oral health clinical indicators program.Participate in the development of education and training for BDC employees and independent contractors.Contribute to the development of contemporary best-practice clinical procedures and guidelines.Establish and maintain effective communication with the Practice Managers and Practice Development Managers to promote ongoing governance and practice support.Deliver training/clinical support to the practices, as required.Work autonomously, utilising discretion in the absence of decision makers in resolution of conflict, meet deadlines, establish work priorities, organise meetings and appointments.Perform secretariat function for relevant meetings including:source and organise venue, equipment, stationery, seating and catering, as required.prepare agendas, generate, collate and distribute relevant documents.coordinate attendance (staff, presenters, etc); andconfidential minute recording, preparation and distribution.What do I need?QualificationsTertiary qualifications in a clinical or related field.TrainingCritical Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis.Internal auditing.Risk management in a clinical setting.Customer service/complaints management.ExperienceMinimum 3 years working in a similar role in a clinical setting.Experience operating within and contributing to a strong clinical governance framework.Experience in preparing objective written responses to customer complaints.Able to effectively investigate clinical incidents and develop system/process improvements to mitigate recurrence.Proficient in the principles of risk management in a clinical setting.Able to exercise initiative, discretion and judgment in the performance of duties.Capable of independently advising on a range of governance activities to all levels of an organisation.Able to use data to inform service improvement.Proficient in the ability to influence, negotiate and persuade through well-developed written and verbal communication skills.High standard of written and presentation skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Bupa is an equal opportunity employer.
