See where your commitment could take you.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Dams Engineer to join our Dams and Tunnels team in our Melbourne office.
With a focus on Dam Safety & Risk Assessment, you'll play a key role in evaluating the safety of major dams throughout Australia and supporting the implementation of risk-based measures to support our clients in managing their dam safety risks.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to the safety and sustainability of critical infrastructure while advancing your career in a collaborative and supportive environment.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Providing specialised technical services to clients on a diverse range of dam-related projects including feasibility studies, design and construction support for new build and improvement projects.Leading dam safety surveillance activities for a range of Australia's major dam owners.Leading the safety evaluation of existing dams, spillways, embankments, and related structures; as well as performing dam safety risk assessments and identifying risk mitigation strategies.Contributing to the design of major dam safety upgrade projects.Managing dam-related projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff on dam engineering principles and current practices.Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, providing specialist advice, and building lasting relationships.What you will bring to the teamBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field coupled with 7+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a consulting environment.Experience across a range of projects related to dams and engineering projects and preferably with experience across the civil infrastructure.Excellent project management skills.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.Experience with investigation and construction phase services, as well as an understanding of dam safety management practices and guidelines.Interested?
