Tomorrow comes with the need to navigate the energy transition, and by playing a key role in the broader decarbonisation of transport, we have defined an ambitious decarbonisation strategy to reach net zero emissions on an absolute basis across our operations by 2040.About the role:The purpose of the IT System Analyst role is to support ongoing development and improvement of I.T.
systems and applications, working with the business stakeholders to deliver new initiatives to improve day-to-day tasks and provide assistance with complex business and system problems within the Ampol organisation.
This role will engage with the business to discuss and deliver initiatives including, but not limited to improved/automated processing of work carried out by the Fuel Supply Chain (FSC) Business support teams.You'll have exposure to a wide range of technical areas within the organisation, including systems administration, network infrastructure, cyber security, database management and cloud computing.Business/Technical Analysis:Determine business requirements and provide business process input to propose solutions in consultation with business stakeholders, other IT groups and external parties.Proactively identify enhancement opportunities both in terms of system functionality and business process design.Communicate with the business users to analyse the business requirements or issues encountered.Assess requests and challenge constructively to derive underlying needs.Convey technical concepts and problems successfully to non-technical stakeholders.Application Support:Share on-call support responsibilities.Perform ad-hoc data analysis for the business or to troubleshoot application or data issues.Diagnose application issues and liaise with vendors and technology teams to provide resolutions.Analysis of complex technical issues, identifying root causes, developing innovative solutions to resolve issues effectively.Troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems.Determine applications upgrades, integration and installation of new applications.Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including system details and document management processes.Support the Application Release Pipeline.Qualifications:Demonstrated experience supporting a range of business applications.Experience with SQL, PowerBI, and Excel.General IT Process Experience – Development, Operational, Change Management.Working knowledge of ITIL processes and their application.An understanding of integration patterns and technology, APIs.An understanding of Security best practice – maintenance, patching.Excellent communication skills, across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to anticipate, identify and address issues and potential problems and select the most effective solutions from a range of options.Proven analytical, problem solving and coordination skills.We'll take you further by:Our total remuneration is competitive.
