About the role Oversee and champion the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of workforce planning strategies, programs and projects at TAFE SA.
This includes managing detailed workforce analytics and reporting to stakeholders to allow for, and inform policy and proactive solutions, in the optimisation of organisational performance and the proactive addressing of workforce challenges.
The role also provides critical leadership in developing and managing staff mobility, career development opportunities, and succession planning, thereby achieving a flexible and agile workforce in alignment with TAFE SA's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the development and implementation of strategies, programs and innovative projects for workforce mobility and resourcing to meet the organisation's talent management and business objectives.
Translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights for a variety of audiences, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Partnering with Business Unit Leaders to coach and support them in using the data to make effective decisions for their areas.
Lead and manage the design and implementation of a contemporary and comprehensive workforce planning framework, programs and policies for TAFE SA that align with both the wider Public Sector requirements and TAFE SA's strategic goals.
Key Selection Criteria Extensive experience in leading and managing the strategic design, consultation, implementation and evaluation of contemporary and comprehensive workforce planning frameworks, programs and policies with measurable outcomes, including high level proficiency in the use of workforce analytics, planning and data-driven tools and predictive analytics to inform strategic decision-making.
Extensive experience collaborating with senior leadership and managing high level consultation processes that influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to drive workforce planning initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to apply original and strategic thinking, analyse and anticipate future workforce needs, develop and deliver long-term plans and innovative solutions that optimise workforce utilisation, improve alignment of talent to business needs and align with organisational goals and project requirements.
Special Conditions The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
Out of hours work will be required.
Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
Eligibility to work in Australia.
