Our mission is to empower individuals by offering personalised support and comprehensive services that enhance their quality of life and promote independence.Winner of Most Outstanding Support Worker and finalist for Best Accommodation Provider of the Australian Disability Awards 2024.We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic support workers to join our dedicated team in Southport and surrounding suburbs to provide person-centered care to our participants.About the OpportunityAs Real Community Services continues to grow, so do the opportunities to work with us.
We currently have multiple positions opening in Southport and surrounding suburbs, providing support to our participants to meet their individual goals.We are currently seeking experienced, compassionate, and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team.
In this rewarding role you will be supporting people who have complex disabilities to live independently as well as achieving their goals and have a more valued role within their community.In this role you will be assisting individuals with various disabilities, helping them prioritize tasks as well as foster a supportive environment, this will help promote their independence as well as their personal growth.Other responsibilities may include:Provide individual support to achieve individual goalsSupport the participant in the communityAssistance with domestic dutiesAssistance with the preparation of nutritious meals and supporting a healthy lifestyleProviding accurate and detailed incident reports, shift notes, and shift handoversMaintaining participant recordsQualifications and Skills:Cert 3 Individual Support or equivalent and/or minimum 1 year experience supporting clients with High Physical Support Needs, Psychosocial disabilities, and/or complex behaviours is highly desirableValid Drivers licence essentialCurrent Paid employee Blue CardCurrent Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker ClearanceCurrent First Aid & CPRNDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)Full Australian working rightsSmartphone with internet accessTwo current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be requiredWhy choose us:Award-Winning: We were recognised with the Most Outstanding Support Worker Award and were a finalist for Best Accommodation Provider at the Australian Disability Awards 2024.Supportive Environment: Join a well-established, successful team with in-house clinical expertise offering ongoing training and skill development.Meaningful Work: Make a lasting impact by assisting individuals to achieve their goals and prioritise daily tasks and foster independence.Competitive Compensation: Weekly pay based on the SCHAD's Home Care Award, plus opportunities for additional shifts.If you're passionate about empowering others and excel in managing complex support needs, we want to hear from you.
