Casual Ophthalmic Technician Position

iSight Specialists is looking for a motivated individual to join our dynamic and unique team as an Ophthalmic Technician on a casual basis commencing soon for Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
With Dr Taranath's expertise as a highly accomplished paediatric ophthalmologist and eye surgeon, we specialise in providing comprehensive care in the fields of strabismus and paediatric ophthalmology. Our practice is committed to promoting optimal eye alignment and vision for patients of all ages, with a particular focus on paediatric eye care.
Key skills and personal attributes essential for success in the role include:
Well-developed interpersonal skills A calm, friendly and professional demeanour, and positive attitude Good computer literacy and organisational skills Ability to work well under pressure Ability to work well in a team Attention to detail in every task Ability to do at least some ancillary testing such as taking OCT scans, visual field testing, OPTOS fundus photography, IOL master biometry measurement and using iCare tonometry is ideal. However, the successful candidate will be provided with comprehensive training & support if they haven't had previous experience and are willing to learn. The role will involve:
Assisting optometrist, orthoptists, and all ophthalmologist/s with patient workup and history taking Pre-testing includes; visual acuity, intraocular pressure, IOL master, OCT scans, OPTOS fundus photos and Visual Field testing. Preparing patients for intravitreal injections and other procedures Restocking procedure and consult rooms Assisting with general admin duties and answering phones Remuneration will be as per industry standards.
