We support and empower employees to drive innovation initiatives within a well-established and growing organisation.The RoleWe are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer – Hydropower as technical lead to join our National Dams and Hydropower business to work closely with our other specialists in the team on a significant hydropower project. This role will be based in our Brisbane office.Suitable applicants will have/be:Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering15+ years' professional industry experience in hydroelectric power projects, preparation in feasibility studies, tender and detail design, design review, site supervision, commissioning and rehabilitationSound knowledge of relevant standards including AS, IEC, IEEE and NFPAProficient in:Power System Studies including Short Circuit, Load Flow, Motor Starting, Transient and HarmonicDetailed Single Line Diagram and Schematic Diagram (Wiring Diagram) Design for LV and MV SwitchgearsComprehensive understanding of salient pole generator designProtection Studies and Design including Grading StudiesEarthing and Lightning Protection System Studies and DesignLighting System Studies and DesignCabling System Studies and DesignDC and UPS System Studies and DesignCommunication Systems DesignIn return, you will be supported by a market leading Dams and Hydropower team where your fresh ideas and enthusiasm will be welcomed and rewarded.
