It is also a centre of research excellence committed to research engagement, and researcher development.About the roleThe Faculty of Law is currently recruiting for an Associate Professor (Level D) to conduct high quality research and teach in our undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programs.As the Associate Professor, you will:Contribute to subject and course development and teaching deliveryFoster collegiate and effective team-work in the delivery of teachingUndertake research and publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals and other appropriate outletsDevelop a national and international (as appropriate) research profileSupervise Honours students and co-supervise Masters and Doctoral StudentsContribute to the development and maintenance of productive relationships within the university, the profession and the communityParticipate in and contribute to the day-to-day work of the Faculty including participating in committees, events and engagement activitiesApply for external grant funding and manage large grants and projectsProvide leadership in subject and curricula review, redesign and developmentLead research activities in their area of expertise developing the national and international research profile of UTS LawWork with junior colleagues to help build their research and teaching capacity in the FacultyAbout YouWe are looking for applicants with:A Doctorate in Law, or related disciplineA Bachelor of Laws or Juris DoctorKnowledge of the law discipline, especially in relation to the faculty's core subjectsAn active research agenda and demonstrated excellence in learning and teaching within a law schoolWhat will you teach?All teaching areas are needed and we have a particular interest in building our teaching teams in the following areas:Real PropertyAdministrative LawTechnology and lawCorporate and Commercial law subjectsFor the full list of selection criteria and role responsibilities, please see the Position Statement and Key Selection Criteria below.Base Salary Range: $175,059 to $191,905 pa (Level D) - Associate ProfessorThese roles attract 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.The positions are full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits including flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.We welcome applications from women, Indigenous Australians, people with disability, those who identify as LGBTIQ and applicants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.How To ApplyIn addition to your resume and cover letter, you are required to address the selection criteria in your submission in a separate document.
