Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role provides essential support in daily accounting tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of our financial reporting & compliance requirements. What you'll be doing:Assist with the delivery of month end accounting and reporting, including detailed review for accuracy and completenessPreparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, including liaison with other parts of the business for investigation and resolution of issuesDay to day accounting duties including journal entries and maintenance of accruals, provisions and prepaymentsLease property management and associated accounting entriesVarious tasks within the Financial Accounting Team, including accounting and administration for contra agreementsSupport the development of efficient and accurate sustainability reporting, including collation and analysis of emissions dataCollaborate with Commercial Finance team to deliver yearly budgetsPreparation of data and schedules to support external audits and the preparation of statutory financial statementsPreparation, analysis and assistance with various tax and compliance reporting obligations, which may include FBT, income tax, GST, WHT, payroll tax, and payment times reportingMaintenance of support and process documentation, ensuring highly organised systems of filingParticipate in ad hoc projects and systems testingAny other duties as required to assist in the accomplishment of team goals, including acting as a backup during periods of leaveExperience we're looking for:Accounting degree qualified, or studying towards an accounting or similar degree2+ years of experience in a similar role / environmentIntermediate Excel, MS Office and ERP system skills (SAP experience highly desirable, but not essential)Experience in financial accounting and preparation / review of general ledger accounts and trial balanceFamiliarity with Australian tax compliance requirements including income tax, FBT and GST Ability to add value and assist in the development of enhanced processesHigh levels of accountability, attention to detail, and resourcefullnessExcellent stakeholder managementExposure to media industry highly regardedWe are values driven at SCA - if you align with our core values, you'll be a great addition to the team:We're Better TogetherPeople are our PowerAlways CuriousWe Push Doors OpenBe GenuineStill not convinced?Head to our TikTok, Life@LiSTNR, for a sneak peek into some of the fun we have at SCAInterested?
