South Burnett CTC's (CTC) Gumnut Place is a thriving Social Enterprise located in Murgon.
Our innovative organisation incorporates a wood workshop, commercial kitchen, commercial laundry, trophy, engraving and badge making service, and a secure document destruction service.
We provide opportunities for Supported Employees and Volunteers to work in a safe and supportive environment, while making a meaningful contribution to the community.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will join a team of dedicated professionals including an Assistant Manager, two Business Coordinators, and Support Workers.
Together, we mentor and supervise our Supported Employees and Volunteers, ensuring they work safely and productively at their assessed capacity.
This is a permanent part-time role, with a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week (Tuesdays & Fridays) and the opportunity to work additional shifts to backfill periods of staff leave.
Position ResponsibilitiesAs a Disability Support Worker, your primary responsibilities will include:
Monitoring the safety of Supported Employees and VolunteersProviding support, supervision, and on-the-job trainingContributing to production across all business unitsEnsuring smooth running of all business units through effective communication and teamworkYou will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with disabilities to gain independence and develop valuable skills in various areas such as kitchen and hospitality, as well as laundry operations.

Salary & BenefitsAs a Disability Support Worker, you will receive a competitive salary of $33.41 per hour, in line with Level 2 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
In addition, we offer salary packaging options to maximize your take-home pay.
