We are on the hunt for the next data geek to join our Category team as our Senior Category Manager .
This is a crucial role to support decision making across all functions of sales and marketing as well as driving the execution of the Commercial Planning Process, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Category Strategy, and Channel development.
The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and drive category growth.
They will be commercially minded with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, able to apply whole business thinking and be adaptable in the way they work.
About your role Lead the development and execution of category strategy and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the four Ps Champion regular business updates and insights across the organisation, ensuring the broader team is informed of category dynamics and opportunities, and securing buy-in for strategic recommendations.
Support the RGM program execution and lead various RGM initiatives such as price and promotional optimisation Drive key initiatives with our organisation's Transformation programme.
Own the category content / story for customer (retailer) category reviews and planning sessions and earn the place of trusted advisor with our customers.
Ensure voice of the shopper and voice of the customer are central to the assumptions and discussions for NPD and other initiatives What will help you succeed 5+ years' experience in a Category Manager role.
Experience in other commercial and insights functions strongly valued.
You have a flair for turning data into actionable insights and proven experience gaining buy-in for your recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high-level interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
A strong team player, ready to be part of our pack, working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
You will need to have a go-getter and proactive mindset looking to make a genuine difference.
FMCG/Grocery experience is critical and exposure to the pet food category would be advantageous.
Seasoned in utilising retailer data platforms across both scan and shopper both for granular analysis as well as storytelling - IRI/Nielsen, Quantium/Synergy Proficient with MS Suite, in particular Excel.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, business administration, marketing or similar.
