About the roleAnsvar Australia, part of Benefact Group, is investing in a new Operating Model and capability uplift in our Technical Solutions team.
We are looking for an Underwriting Audit & Governance Lead to join our team in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
You will be responsible for ensuring effective oversight, governance, and continuous improvement of underwriting practices through audit frameworks.
This includes managing the Quality Assessment Program and Peer Review Framework to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and operational policies, as well as contributing to strategic projects across the business.
Key responsibilitiesManage and undertake the Quality Assessment Programs (QAP) and Peer Review FrameworksIdentify capability requirements and training needs, and assist in the development of a tailored plan in conjunction with key stakeholdersAssist with strategic projects as directed by the Chief Underwriting OfficerKnowledge, skills and experienceEssential5+ years' experience in a similar roleKnowledge of Property, Package, Casualty, and Financial Lines products and exposuresExperience in effective stakeholder management within a commercial environmentExperience in business/performance report writingExperience in data analysis and MI reportingExperience in designing and managing Quality Assurance Programs, Peer Review and Governance frameworksAbility to work independently, take initiative, and deliver measurable outcomesHighly desirableUndergraduate degreeProject management experienceChange management experienceCritical thinking – ability to demonstrate thought leadershipAttention to detail – disciplined focus on technical excellenceStakeholder Engagement – strong interpersonal skillsValues – embraces Ansvar's valuesDrive – passionate about the business and making a differenceWhat we offerLearning and Development opportunitiesEmployee Referral ProgramFlu VaccinationsReward & Recognition Program with discounts at local retailersCompetitive Parental Leave ArrangementPurchase additional Annual Leave opportunityHybrid work arrangementPaid Volunteer day – 1 per yearCommunity Education Grant ProgramEAP access for staff and familiesParticipation in short term incentive scheme – up to 15%About usBenefact Group is a unique international financial services group made up of over 30 businesses.
