Position Responsibilities: This is a part time job share role with the current Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) who works 3 days per week.
If you are a full time candidate, you can combine this role with 2/3 days per week in a clinical, education, or coordination role.
You will provide operational direction for the unit/ward to ensure efficient and effective management of the area and coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based.
In addition, you will be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels.
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will undertake direct patient care as required, providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team.

Hobart Private Hospital provides Emergency Services, Angiography and Cardiac Services, Maternity, Medical, Surgical, Day Surgery and Endoscopy.
Selection Criteria: Current Registration with AHPRAWorking with Children checkPrevious experience at NUM level or equivalentExperience in the Acute settingDegree in relevant specialty areaCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA strong commitment to developing in a management roleA commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused careHigh degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databasesAbility to work cohesively within a team environmentProven time management and prioritisation skillsDemonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour managementWhy Healthscope? If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope - Tasmania - Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2021-2024, a salary rate of $67.63 per hour.
