As a Case Worker on our Miranda Project, you'll be at the heart of a high-impact team.
Supported by your team leader and teammates, you'll use holistic case management to provide specialist case management support for people who identify as female or non-binary with complex needs who are leaving NSW Correctional Centres, seeking bail or community-based sentences as an alternative to custodial sentences.
Using a thoroughcare model focusing on providing a continuum of support aimed to address the complex and diverse unmet needs of people who have experienced victimisation and involvement with the criminal justice system, your role includes project and client support, creating community connections for clients, data, administrative and assessment duties and cultural safety.
CRC works with some of the state's most stigmatised and marginalised people, and we are dedicated to providing them with the help they need.
While our work can sometimes be challenging, the rewards are significant.
In this role you may be working with some confronting issues as statistically people on release are at a higher risk of overdose or suicide, greater risk of death due to interpersonal violence and greater exposure to traumatic events.
While there are many levels of support for staff, this work requires someone with high levels of resilience in the face of adversity.
Your usual work hours will be Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours work, as required.
