The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This iconic project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
General Services ElectricianWe are seeking a General Services Electrician to assist the maintenance team with the repairs & maintenance of all assets & equipment associated with camps, site offices, cribs & ablutions & common area facilities:
Attention to DetailGeneral Site Maintenance across all assets and equipment.Problem solving & finding solutions for asset & equipment failures.Duties & ResponsibilitiesA problem solver who is able to understand & investigate faults & concerns & devise a plan for how to proceed.
QualificationsExperience & Skills RequirementAt least two (2) years in a similar roleA valid driver's license and an acceptable driving recordAbility to operate in a climate of confidentiality requiring professionalism and discretionReliable and dependable attendance in a remote settingMust pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to, drug, alcohol & fitness testingAccustomed to living in dormitory style/remote camp settingsTickets – working at heights, confined space etc (preferable)Previous experience in domestic/commercial and catering equipment maintenance, repairs and installation work.Routine inspections on electrical systems, fixtures, and appliances.Routine maintenance on electrical systems, fixtures, and appliances.Installation of new electrical circuits, fixtures and appliances.Identify and troubleshoot breakdown faults and hazards.Test and tagging of single and 3 phase equipmentWriting electrical maintenance compliance reportsCompetent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systemsExperience in computer-based maintenance systems (preferable)Current Electrical workers licenseCurrent First Aid and CPRCurrent Driver's licenseAbility to pass a medical and drug & alcohol testExcellent problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and thoroughnessAbility to work effectively both in a team and independentlyDedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance PoliciesThese positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures, which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
