Join a new independent practice on the outskirts of Brisbane, Samford Emergency Vets (SEV), which is dedicated to providing compassionate after-hours and emergency care for small animals.
What they are looking for: A degree in Veterinary Medicine. A minimum of 3 years experience. Sole charge responsibilities. Ability to work evening and overnight shifts. Experience in emergency and critical care is desirable, however, if you have a great attitude and want to learn, we want to hear from you Commitment to delivering compassionate and high-quality veterinary care. Ability to communicate with pet owners. Your Role Is: As an Overnight Emergency and Critical Care Vet, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities include:
Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergency cases that arrive during the night/after-hours. Providing overnight care to existing medical and surgical patients from surrounding general practitioners that need supervision overnight. Critical Care: Providing intensive monitoring and treatment to critically ill patients. Diagnostic Expertise: Triaging and applying thorough examinations and appropriate diagnostics for critical care treatment. Performing emergency surgeries when necessary. Client Communication. Documentation and Record-Keeping. Team Support: Providing mentorship and guidance to all support staff working overnight. Your role is demanding yet incredibly rewarding, as you play a crucial part in saving lives and providing compassionate care to animals in their time of greatest need.
