Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Principal Data Engineer. This position is located in their busy Parramatta office for an initial contract until 30/06/2025. About the Position
In this hands-on role, you will provide technical leadership to deliver expert advice and services in the design and development of data products and data-related services to support the achievement of business outcomes and strategic goals. The role will also drive the development of data processing frameworks and data architectural approaches scaled to current and future business demands.
Duties Partner with customers and stakeholders to design, build and maintain databases, ETL pipelines, and management systems.Provide end-to-end solutions.Manage the end-to-end delivery of innovative data management systems.Contribute to ongoing management of data management systems and solutions.Evaluate process improvements to deliver automation, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure.Ensure compliance.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends and innovations.Monitor systems, identify risks and emerging issues, and recommend solutions.Collaborate with senior leaders and other customers and stakeholders.Requirements/Skills Experience in RDBMS products such as Oracle or AWS.Experience in API frameworks (SQL, Python).Understanding of data orchestration frameworks such as AirFlow.Knowledge of data warehousing technologies.Tertiary qualified professional in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.Benefits working with this Client WFH flexibility.Opportunity for extensions and growth within state government.Full-time hours, 40 per week.Benefits working with Karlka Recruiting Group Weekly pay.Ongoing support: Pre, during, and post placement.Dedicated consultant per contract.Employee Assistance Program available.Our agency supports Indigenous communities.How to Apply
