An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at Burringurrah Nursing post – Midwest.
Unit / Division: Midwest Work Type: Fixed Term—Full Time, Permanent—Full Time Position No: Pool Ref 00001590 Closing Date: 2025-02-17 4:00 PM (YYYY-MM-DD) This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time or Fixed Term Full Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
To be successful, you will have:
Extensive clinical experience including assessment skills, emergency management skills, clinical problem solving, and understanding of chronic disease management.
Knowledge and application of primary health care principles and programs.
Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including problem solving and negotiation skills.
Understanding and commitment to cultural safety and Indigenous health issues.
Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services, and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management, and service delivery.
Position Profile: Responsible for the provision and coordination of primary health care to the Burringurrah community.
Includes the provision of Nursing Services encompassing emergency care, chronic disease management, child health, immunisation, health promotion, and education.
This is an "open-ended" recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 29/08/2025.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives—across a broad range of patient-facing roles—on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations.
Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service—Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).
