Genesis is currently seeking applications for a Safety Advisor to be at the forefront of our Laverton Gold Operation mine restart.
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will provide technical advice and coaching to employees, leaders and contractor personnel in the implementation and management of safety and training systems across Laverton Operations.
The role also offers an opportunity to get involved with establishing and implementing a positive Health & Safety culture amongst our employees and contractors.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora and Laverton.
The opportunity Providing workplace health, safety related advice Support the project's critical risk management process Training and promotion of the health and safety systems and processes Incident Reporting and Investigation Supporting the development and roll out of Health and Safety initiatives Conducting in field safety coaching through quality safety interactions and field leadership Support and assist in the management of return-to-work programs needed by the workforce Screen on site fitness to work suitability and testing including Drug and Alcohol screening What you can expect from us A caring and supportive culture Professional and positive team environments on site, and at all facilities A 'grow our own' approach with a preference to develop and promote internally Access to professional development activities and educational assistance Competitive salary and options for salary sacrificing Air-conditioned, comfortable accommodation facilities with private ensuite Onsite gym, recreational facilities, and BBQ areas We would love to hear from you if you have: Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the mining industry Minimum of Certificate IV: Health & Safety ICAM Lead Investigator (or equivalent) Drug & Alcohol – Authorised Tester Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent understanding of Mines Safety & Inspection Legislation Does this sound like you?
