A great opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks
Benefits 46.22 an hour, inclusive of allowancesWork 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on FridaysTraining & Upskilling providedRelocation assistance for the right candidateWork on unique Defence vehicle and assets17.5% Annual Leave LoadingAll tools, PPE and Uniforms providedOn-site ParkingAbout the role Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classificationRepair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentialsReassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced partsCarry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairsTest and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injectionInspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificatesAbout you Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent levelOpen to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experienceDemonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehiclesMust possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's LicenseYou must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security ClearanceHow to Apply Please click apply to submit your application.
