About the role:
Our Risk Advisory Service provides tailored risk management advice and education to doctors who are Avant members, as well as internal stakeholders and the broader medical community.
This unique role will see you delivering our Risk Advisory Service through practitioner risk assessments, practice risk assessments, educational content, proactive measures to reduce claims and attending at events.
If you have previous nursing or GP practice management experience and are looking for a change, this could be the ideal opportunity to broaden your experience and skills in a corporate insurance environment.
Contract opportunity until October 2024, with the possibility of a permanent role.
Start: December 2024 or January 2025.
The key responsibilities include:
Delivery of risk advisory services to our members to improve the quality, safety and professionalism of medical practice Develop and present medico-legal risk management content at events Represent Avant in a manner consistent with Avant's member engagement values Help build efficiency of risk advisory services process and align with Avant priorities Engage with internal stakeholders to identify areas of risk and develop strategies to reduce potential claims exposure Proactively engage with Medical Professionals and Practices to highlight areas of concern and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks.
Skills and experience required:
Tertiary qualification in a health-related field Extensive experience as a Practice Manager, Nurse or Health Management in a tertiary hospital setting Previous demonstrated experience working in a clinical, practice or other healthcare environment Previous exposure to evaluating and managing clinical quality and safety Understanding of risk assurance principles Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal Strong relationship management and influencing skills Understanding of current health legislation and ability to work proactively with doctors, societies and practices to understand risks #J-18808-Ljbffr
