SA HealthJob reference: 888561Location: 5006 - NORTH ADELAIDEJob status: Short Term ContractEligibility: Open to EveryoneWomen's and Children's Health Network, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Eating Disorder Service - North Adelaide (5006)Salary- Classification - RN/M3 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 3 - $121,537 to $126,970Full time – Term Contract (9 month temporary contract)About the OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service as a Senior Clinical Nurse where you will be responsible for:In liaison with the Clinical Coordinator provides day to day coordination and leadership of the multidisciplinary Eating Disorders Team activities to achieve continuity and quality of client mental health care.Provides clinical expertise for children, adolescents and their families with eating disorders and mental health issues, in line with the Statewide Paediatric Eating Disorders Services (SPEDS) Model of Care, 2020.The CAMHS Eating Disorders Senior Nurse provides direct expert care for an individual or group of clients and/or providing clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff.Integrate contemporary mental health information and evidence with personal experience to support the decision making, innovative thinking and objective analysis.Contribute to the development of, implementation of, and monitoring of corporate policies and processes and lead in their area of expertise.Lead mental health nursing clinical practice within the professional practice framework established by the Director of Nursing/Midwifery.Provide the pivotal leadership and co-ordination of patient/client mental health care delivery in a defined ward/unit/service/program to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes and efficient patient/client flow.Provides outreach at CAMHS Community metropolitan locations. Provides consultation via telehealth as required.About YouRegistered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.Demonstrated competence in delivering proficient and comprehensive mental health nursing assessment and direct clinical services to children, young people and their families experiencing complex, acute or chronic mental illness/ trauma or a wide range of emotional and behavioural disturbance.Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards.What WCHN Can Offer YouRelocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia.)Free public transport for SA Health Metropolitan Hospital workers to and from the Women's and Children's Hospital.
