This role will support the delivery of the largest Federal Government Contact Centre.

You will be required to work on a rotating roster 24x7, 365 days a year, with the opportunity to earn an additional salary for overnight and weekend shifts.

Your day in the life of a Security Operations Specialist at Optus Analyse complex cases involving a pattern of security events from SIEM and other security data sources.
Splunk experience is preferred.
Develop and tune use cases, alerts, reports, custom dashboards and further enhancement.
Create, improve, and document processes for the management and monitoring of security solutions.
Work with technical teams on log onboarding.
Baseline and improve threat detection thresholds and improve detection methods.
Configure, manage, and upgrade Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) platforms.
Involve in the operational support of the environment to ensure platform availability.
Your skills to pay the bills Advanced Knowledge and experience of SIEM (Splunk) Technologies (Logging, monitoring, Triage, reporting of Security alerts and Incidents, and processes) is a must.
Hands-on experience with the day-to-day security operations using various security technologies such as Tenable, Splunk, Symantec endpoint protection, Firepower IPS/IDS or similar technologies.
Experience as an Information Security Specialist, Analyst in Security operations especially in security monitoring and network security domains.
You must be an Australian citizen and be eligible for Federal Government security clearance.
