This role involves creating engaging and meaningful activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents while ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.Your warm-hearted care will provide experiences that enhance our residents' wellbeing and overall quality of life and truly make a positive impact on their lives.
It really is an incredibly rewarding role and a lot of funWe are looking to appoint a Part Time employee with an opportunity to work 4 hours per week, every Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.Your work may include:Helping facilitate a range of engaging onsite activities such as bingo, floor bowls, craft and special eventsHelping to develop and plan a range of social, recreational and cultural activitiesAssisting residents on bus trips and community outingsSupporting resident participation and offering warm companionshipEnsuring residents' needs, values, spiritual values, and cultural preferences are taken into accountTo Be Successful You Will Have:A Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or willing to obtain)Initiative and creative flairExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work as part of a team and prioritise workThe ability to put a smile on a resident's face and brighten their dayA big heart - you're empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possibleKnowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)Benefits for You:Competitive pay and more cash in your pocket (less tax) with not-for-profit salary packagingFlexible working conditionsBirthday leave - relax and take a day off on usProfessional and career development opportunitiesMultiple career pathwaysDiscounted gym membershipsFree counselling via Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and staff wellness programHow to Apply:If you feel this is the right role for you, we'd love to hear from you
