About You :
You will have 3 or more years audit experience in financial statement audit, relevant tertiary qualifications (bachelor degree or above with an accounting major) and have completed or have the intention of completing your CA or CPA.
You will be fully conversant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) / Australian Accounting Standards Board standards (AASBs).
You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the audit process.
You will have experience in completing small audits from planning through to providing completed documentation to the audit manager for review and have experience being involved in larger complex audits.
In addition you will have :
Initiative, drive and a desire to learn A logical approach to problem solving Strong analytical skills Strong accounting skills and knowledge A strong focus on client service Strong interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills including Excel and Word Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero and MYOB Experience working with CaseWare audit software would be an advantage as would knowledge of Australian legal requirements around GST, BAS, annual leave and long service leave calculations.
You will need to be based in Sydney but working from home is acceptable.
