At the heart of our school is a highly skilled and collaborative PDHPE Faculty.
This team consistently achieves strong HSC results in CAFS and PDHPE through evidence-based professional learning and research.
Teachers work together to tailor their teaching practices to meet the needs of our students and the syllabus.
The faculty builds strong foundations in Stages 4 and 5 through mandatory PDHPE courses and offers a variety of electives, including PASS, Child Studies, Dance, and Outdoor Education.
In 2024, Goulburn High School students will complete the HSC Dance course for the first time, and our Dance Program continues to grow.
Students regularly showcase their talents at local events, further enriching the school's vibrant culture.
Additionally, the GHS Sport Program has seen significant success, with students representing the school at Zone, Regional, and State levels.
Our faculty actively identifies and nurtures athletic talent through practical lessons, contributing to the strong sporting tradition at Goulburn High.
The recent transition to a whole school Tuesday afternoon sport has provided dedicated training time for teams, enhancing their development and success.

Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to collaboratively create and communicate a clear, inspiring vision for the PDHPE faculty, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement that aligns with the school's strategic directions. Proven expertise in leading the implementation of the new PDHPE curriculum, applying evidence-based teaching practices, differentiation, and innovative assessment strategies to enhance student outcomes and engagement. Demonstrated ability to support staff in fostering positive student engagement, enhancing learning environments, and effectively leading change initiatives that improve student wellbeing and academic outcomes. Strong capacity to build and lead a cohesive team, empowering staff through shared leadership while promoting professional growth, fostering autonomy, and enhancing team capability. General Selection Criteria Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
