Salary ranges from $ 79,032 to $86,539 plus superannuation and annual leave loading Be part of a truly transformative business decision, diversifying service provision to the Valuer General and growing the public sectors capability and capacity in tow Value NSW (VNSW) is currently seeking multiple Graduate Valuers to join their expanded in-house Rating and Taxing team and newly created in-house Objections teams.
The role As a Graduate Valuer , you will develop skills to become a qualified Valuer and upon conclusion of the graduate program may be successful in obtaining Associate membership with the Australian Property Institute.
The Graduate Valuer undertakes and assists with providing professional, expert and authoritative property and valuation information and technical expertise that is consistent with legislation, policy and community standards and expectations.
The 24-month program will see graduates experience up to four work rotations of up to six months each with different teams within Value NSW, to give them a wide breadth of training and learning experiences.

If successful and dependant on your placement, you will work towards being qualified to:
make land valuations using mass valuation systems for rating and taxing purposes under the Valuation of Land Act, 1916 ; or Determine objection valuation outcomes for all types of rating and taxing valuations in line with the Act.

Essential Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Student Member or Provisional Member of the Australian Property Institute Completion of, or undertaking, qualifications that meet the eligibility requirements to apply for Associate Membership of the Australian Property Institute –noting that any qualification being undertaken must be completed or be eligible for completion by end of 2024.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel.

About Us The Valuer General is an independent statutory officer, appointed by the Governor of New South Wales to oversee the State's land valuation system.
Value NSW (VNSW) provides services to, supports, and where appropriately delegated, delivers relevant functions on behalf of the Valuer General of NSW.
This includes:
Defining and setting the standards and policies for the land valuation system for rating and taxing purposes along with the determination of compensation through the compulsory acquisition process to ensure integrity within the NSW Government is upheld.
Making valuations as well as monitoring, quality assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.
Providing other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations as/when required for other cluster or state wide government partners; and Providing professional leadership and stewardship to the valuation industry.
