Let's talk about the role and responsibilities The GCP Data Lead will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and delivery of data solutions on GCP.
This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, data engineering, and platform delivery, with a strong emphasis on security and compliance within the financial services sector.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data architectures on GCP to meet business needs.Develop and maintain best practices for data architecture, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.Lead a team of data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, facilitating their professional development.Data Engineering & Delivery: Oversee the development of data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality and accessibility.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives.Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data, adhering to regulatory requirements.Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Platform Nuances: Stay updated on the latest GCP offerings and technologies, evaluating their potential impact on data strategy.Manage cloud resources efficiently, optimizing costs and performance of data workloads.Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide insights that drive decision-making.Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Let's talk about your capability and experience Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Over 15 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, and implementation, preferably within the financial industry.In-depth expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Big Query, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Pub/Sub.Proficient in data modelling, ETL processes, and designing data warehousing solutions.Comprehensive understanding of data governance, security protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements within the financial sector.Strong leadership and team management experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading technical teams.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.About CapgeminiAt Capgemini, we are more than just a business, we are a diverse global collective of strategic and technological experts who are passionate about finding ways technology can help our clients, our people and our communities get the future they want.
