How will your ideas contribute to shaping what's next? As our new Lead /Associate Electrical Engineer, you'll be a vital part of the Industrial EI&C team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.
Your role will include:
In-depth knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects A fundamental knowledge of key Australian Standards Prior experience with client interfacing roles Experience in detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems Experience with power systems software Basic understanding of functional safety and Hazardous Area principles What are we looking for from you? You'll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.
As well as experience in a similar electrical engineering role previously, you would require:
Completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia (CPEng preferred) A minimum of 10 years' post graduate experience working on industrial projects, delivering process plant projects, energy, water or mining sector projects ensuring quality deliverables while meeting agreed schedules. In depth knowledge of 'in-plant' electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems Applied knowledge of relevant standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1 and AS/NZS 2067. Experience with Safety in Design practices, risk assessments, preparing proposals, and project planning. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Apply your communication and people leadership skills to lead effective conversations with our clients and stakeholders to solve their complex issues in a technically-sound and commercially viable manner. Develop and maintain strong internal and external networks and lead business development opportunities including tender responses. Understanding of renewable energy, industrial communications systems, SCADA, PLC/DCS, Hazardous Areas, and Functional Safety would be viewed favourably. Knowledge of Hazardous Areas and Functional Safety including AS/NZS 60079, AS 61508, AS IEC 61511 and AS/NZS 4024. Experience across all project development phases including concept, FEED and detail design Ability to proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to develop project deliverables.
